Sixth weekly round up of interesting TTRPG things found on the internet - less than last week - previous one found here. Inspired by weaver.skepti.ch End of Week links.
Sci-fi and Fantasy blending in the roots of Warhammer
Good overview of the new Ravenloft book by Tales of the Groteque and Dungeonesque
The latest user numbers from Fantasy Grounds showing the popularity of various rulesets.
Universal key to GLOG content (via B/X).
A cult for every monster - also a great framework for just making cults in general!
Pickmans Guest - Mythos-inspired short.
The Ancient Magic sorceror subclass - a flavourful homebrew for 5e - if you like the style there is a link at the bottom to more of Rain Junkie DnD stuff.
The start of a project to compile a Helpful List of Easily Ported Rules - a neat pick-and-mix set up worth the look in case you spot something interesting.
An interesting lens on goal-oriented players which also speaks to rail roading - what if highly motivated players do not want to follow *this* plot?
Thanks for the link to the Fantasy Grounds chart. That's very interesting. 5E on Roll20 is 53% of games while the Fantasy Grounds percentage is 70%. I like that they give you the actual numbers of games and not the % the way the Roll20 report does.
ReplyDeleteI was going to give it a go of doing a comparison - Roll20 crossed 8 million players in 4Q 2020 they said so I was going to work back their numbers from that and see what its like.
