The old Dwarven Empire were masters of alchemy based off botany. The empire fell and with it their easy access to their plants. The cultural tastes remained but the source was gone - everything was recreated from alchemy and minerals. Now dwarves live on mostly synthetic diets and swear they taste better.

5. Carb-substitute porrige - from mushroom base, served with spicy sauce
6. Marzipan-esque cake with a slightly pungent petroleum aftertaste
7. Tablet-fudge - sugar, with a binding agent
8. Battered nuggets of reconstituted proteins

A few tastes have clung on from the old days in the form of
15. Pickles - the most common remaining thing - slivers of pickle are added to most dishes
16. Thick vegetable soups (mostly mushroom based but anything extra available will be added)
17. Dried sausages - made from things that lived under the sun

Mere minutes at a dwarfs table explains why strong beers and stronger liquors are staples of the dwarven diet, the beers are the tastiest ways to get your daily calories out of a number of bad options and the liquors are required to cut the grease and stodge that are the baseline for dwarven cooking.
